1.1 This Code sets out a series of requirements and practices to be observed in the processing and
handling of frozen foods in order to maintain their quality up to the time of final sale.
1.2 This Code is intended to apply to frozen foods of all types which have been subjected to the
process of freezing set out in Section 4 of this Code and which are offered for sale in the
frozen state.
1.3 This Code is intended to provide guidelines for the elaboration of Codes of Practice or
standards for specific frozen products or groups of products.
